Residential and Commercial Pest Control in Bishops Stortford

I work with all domestic customers too, taking care of pest control issues in the home and outside the home too. Squirrels can be an issue for homeowners. Squirrels, being rodents, are very good at gaining access to loft space through air vents, pipes etc. and chew everything in sight! This of course, can present a substantial repair bill as well as presenting a fire hazard, should they decide to chew through wires etc. Rats and mice can be difficult to manage in and around such areas as there can be an abundant supply of food (in grain stores, cold storage etc.) and plenty of spaces to build a nest too. Again, these types of pest control issues can be one-off treatments or, possibly a better solution, is on-going contract work to keep numbers to a minimum.

Investigations begin following the discovery of droppings in a loft space in Bishops Stortford, CM23, 3rd January 2023

Pestforce Pest Control Bishop Stortford received a call from a client who was concerned about noises and the discovery of droppings in the lost space of her home in Bishop Stortford. Our team arrived to investigate and began with carrying out a full survey, during which both rat and squirrel droppings were discovered in the loft space. On further investigation, several potential points of entry were discovered, specifically around the fascia boards. Tracking dust has been used around the area, and a rodent treatment plan has commenced. We will be visiting again in around one week, to check the progress and monitor the rodent treatment program. We look forward to making sure our customer is rodent free once again soon.

Hornets’ nest in loft space of a home in Bishops Stortford, CM22, 22nd August 2022

Pestforce Pest Control Bishop Stortford were called to treat a wasp’s nest at a home in Bishop Stortford. The clients had called and reported they were concerned following several sightings of wasps entering the roof space from under the roof tiles. Our team attended at the agreed time and conducted an inspection around the exterior of the roof, quickly identifying the culprit. Hornets were seen by our team. We set to work immediately using our knowledge and experience, applying insecticide dust to the tile area. This will eradicate the nest and hornets completely. We advised our clients to keep all windows closed until activity slows down, this could take a few hours. 

Two wasps’ nests require treatment in Bishops Stortford, CM23, 31st July 2022

Pestforce Pest Control Bishops Stortford received a call from a gentleman who was becoming concerned with the increasing volume of wasps around the roof of his home in Bishops Stortford. We swiftly attended his home and completed an inspection. We noticed the wasps were entering and leaving from two areas of the tiled roof, we decided to look in the loft space of his home. Inside the loft space we identified two wasps’ nests, one at each end of the loft. Using our years of experience in treating wasps’ nests, we used an insecticide applied directly into the nest, eradicating the wasps inside, then we treated around the nest to eradicate the wasps surrounding the nest. This treatment proved to be another success with both wasps’ nests eradicated. Our client is much happier without the worry of the wasps living in his home.

Nuisance pigeons causing disturbance and mess in Bishops Stortford, CM23, 31st May 2022

Pestforce Pest Control Bishops Stortford were called to attend a property that was being fouled on by pigeons in Bishops Stortford. We arrived at the home and could see the pigeons landing on the gable ends of the property, guano was also evident on the wall below. We agreed the best course of action would be to install pigeon spiking. We began by thoroughly cleaning the area and the wall so there was no guano present. The pigeon spikes were then installed. Our client is now delighted to have no more pigeons causing mess on their property.
