Loft Cleaning after Rodent Infestation - 2/6/25

I was called to survey then treat a rodent problem for a customer I completed the treatment eradicating the issue afterwards and during an inspection of the loft space it was found that the insulation was too badly damaged it was found to be heavily contaminated with rodent faeces and urine. This presents a potential health hazard due to airborne particles that may contain harmful bacteria and viruses, including Hantavirus and Leptospirosis. After a discussion with my customer, it was decided that Immediate action was needed We safely removed and disposed of the contaminated insulation bagging up by hand so not to create too much dust and airborne particles  Once cleared we thoroughly cleaned and disinfected the loft area using a Biocide and Disinfectant, these are designed to kill any of the contaminants mentioned above making the space safe again  Then installing new insulation to current recommended standards of 300mm  Not only was the loft better insulated, but the rodent issue also had truly been removed  I would recommend anyone who has had a rodent issue, or moved into their new home check the loft and if you feel it needs removing, give me a call for a free survey and no obligation quote

We explained the steps needed to resolve the issue and proceeded with a targeted treatment to eradicate the bed bugs. Large Black Flies Swarming in a Bathroom in Lowestoft, NR32 – 9th July 2024

Pestforce Pest Control Lowestoft were called out late in the day to investigate a swarm of large black flies that had taken over a customer's bathroom. Since we were nearby, we popped in that evening to assess the situation. Upon arrival, we put on protective shoe covers and inspected the bathroom, which was overrun with flies. After some investigation, we discovered that a recently installed extractor fan had become a pathway for the flies, which were breeding in a strange moss-mushroom sludge outside the property. The following morning, we returned to seal entry points and treat the bathroom to eliminate the infestation. We also contacted the local council on the customer’s behalf to address the mess outside. Moths Destroying Carpets in an Old House in Lowestoft, NR32 – 8th July 2024
