I’m Malcolm Dent and, along with my family, I own and operate an independent pest control company in and around the Barnsley area. We live locally and have done for many years.

I hold current, valid Level 2 certificates in Pest Control and Management from the Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH). This qualification covers all pest problems from bedbug infestation, to being over-run by rodents through to nuisance birds. This qualification also covers the use and transportation of chemicals and pesticides.

I am also certified in Wildlife Management and Urban Bird Management and hold a current IPAF Certificate. This means that you can be confident that I know what I am doing and that any equipment or treatments I use are safe for you, your family, pets and other wildlife.

I am also an active member of the British Pest Control Association (BPCA). This non-profit umbrella organisation offers ongoing professional development for pest control professionals.

I am also a member of the British Traditional Molecatchers Register (BTMR). This organisation promotes the use of traditional and ethical practice in catching moles.

We also offer specialist treatments such as bird and rabbit proofing. We never underestimate the damage a rabbit can do; multiply the damage caused by one rabbit by several rabbits, and you have a hefty repair bill! Birds flocking and roosting can also be a problem and we are qualified and skilled in fitting a variety of bird and rabbit proofing systems to homes, commercial buildings and other premises or areas. Long term it’s wiser to invest your money in prevention rather than cure. We offer annual contracts, when you contact us we can advise you further.

Our pest control work and treatments are all fully insured; we carry Public Liability insurance up to £5million.

We are DBS/CRB Checked.
