1. First, we answer your call and discuss your pest problem.
2. Then we determine whether you need a survey visit from one of our experienced technicians or practical advice on how to resolve the problem.
3. During a survey visit, our technician will look to confirm pest activity and attempt to identify the source of the problem.

Fly Control in SW London - April 2021

Pestforce Pest Control South West London carried out an inspection of a property suffering from flies. We lifted a rear drain to find the source of the drain fly issue and a heavily blocked drainage chamber.  We lifted the front drain which was cleaned a month ago to reinstate good flow and it to is blocked.  We then treated rear drainage chamber with PX-Viribus covering the walls lid area and the debris surface. We went onto advise client to contact drainage engineer again as we suspect there to be a blockage in the main sewer. We also advised the client that treatment may need to be repeated if blockage isn’t resolved.

Pigeon Infestation in Fulham, SW6 - Decenber 2019

Our client has recently renovated an old office block into 36 luxury flats.  Towards the end of the building project the client became concerned due to a high number of pigeons clearly taking up residence under the buildings numerous overhanging roof sections, leading edges and sheltered areas.  The pigeons were severely fouling the building on all elevations, which was putting off prospective buyers.  We attended to survey the site and to provide humane solutions.  The client had very specific requirements in respect to any visual impact of bird proofing measures.  To meet the requirements of the client we agreed to install a combination of solutions use rope access and Mobile Elevating Work Platforms to ensure a safe system of work for the technicians.  The three main solutions included: Avishock electric bird deterrent to highly visible roof areas from residents windows, bird netting to protect the areas below the high level roof overhangs and bird spiking on the main roof leading edges which could not be readily seen.  Additionally all pigeon fouling was all treated with specialist biocides and thoroughly cleaned to high standard.  In the last few weeks we have inspected the site and are thrilled to confirm all the offending pigeons have moved away from the building following the installation of these measures.   The client is so relieved we were able to resolve this problem without the need to harm any pigeons

Problem Solved - Rats in rented Wandsworth flat (SW18) - December 2019

We recently solved a very complex rat issue in a tenanted flat in Wandsworth.  Originally we were called by the landlord to the ground floor flat following gnawing type sounds being heard behind the bathroom wall.  On investigation we found evidence of rats actively accessing under the kitchen and into one of the bathrooms.  Initially, we treated the problem using traps to remove the offending rats in a safe and controlled way.  This was to avoid any risk of rats any deceased rats in the fabric of the building and the associated bad smells and flies.  We removed 9 adult and juvenile rats over 14 days.  We also investigated the drainage serving the property.  This is because the source of the rat issue often will be drainage related.  However, no evidence of rat activity from the drains could be confirmed from the manhole inspection chambers surrounding the property.   We eventually traced the issue to drainage chamber serving a neighbouring property, which had also previously served the flat that the current rat problem.  We identified a redundant pipe run that had been left open several years earlier when the flat had undergone extensive refurbishment and reconfiguration of the drainage system.  This open pipe was allowing rats to escape the drainage before migrating into the building fabric.  This redundant pipe was confirmed as the source following a CCTV drainage survey.  The redundant pipe was then simply capped off, cutting off the source of rats and solving the problem long-term.      

Bird Proofing - March 2019

We completed a Solar Panel bird proofing job this week.  Pigeons were nesting under the panels and fouling all over the solar panel system and the guttering and the gardens below were all suffering because of this. Pestforce South West London soon surveyed the site and were able to return and complete works 7 days later. Works were completed by a specialist team of two using a Mobile Elevating Work Platform (Cherry Picker) due to the heights involved and to ensure a safe system of work. The works completed included a complete clean of the solar units using specialist biocide to neutralise pathogens and dangerous bacteria associated with bird fouling. The guttering was also unblocked and cleared. The solar panels were sealed using a mesh and fixing system specifically designed for Solar Panels.  The client is extremely happy with the outcome.
