Recent Pest Control Jobs

Rodent infestation in Hammersmith, W6 - 20th August 2021

Pestforce Pest Control Hammersmith are close to fully erradicating a rat infestation in a property in Hammersmith. Our initial inspection found evidence of rats under kitchen units and a bar odour. The tenants also reported to us that the electric would cut off sometimes. This is a classic example of rodent infestation. We then went about setting up a 3 visit riddance programe through the use of traps and baiting. Our programe has been very effective so far and the infestation has reduced significantly. We are due to fit a rat flap in the drainage chamber to prevent rats entering from the drains. 

Spider infestation in Hammersmith, W6 - 9th August 2021

Pestforce Pest Control Hammersmith recently treated a property for a heavy infestation of spiders in the downstairs of the property. We treated all infected areas with a residual insecticide spray. We advised the client to havethe area vacated for a couple of hours to allow for the insecticide to work its maximum efficiency. Another happy spider-free customer. 

Cockroach infestation in Hammersmith, W6 - 25th July 2021

Pestforce Pest Control Hammersmith were called out for a cockroach infestation in a flat in Hammersmith. On inspection our technician found live cockroaches in the kitchen under the cooker and also found cockroaches in the first floor bedroom. We have initiated an intense cockroach erradication plan with treatment put down under the cooker and in cracks and crevices. We have also used sticky monitors to track the cockroach activity. We have left the client with some recommendations and will check on our progress at the property next week. The first step to being cockroach free in Hammersmith. 

Rat infestation from sewer into property in Hammersmith, W6 - 14th July 2021

Pestforce Pest Control Hammersmith have recently concluded a rat infestation at a property in Hammersmith. The source of the rat issue had been uncovered during a drainage inspection of the main drain chamber outside the property. The main drain rodding eye interceptor cap was missing and needed to be replaced. After completing our treatment plan we installed a one way valve (rat flap) in the main drainage chamber and also a non return valve (one way valve) which will prevent potential rodent ingress from the drainage system into the building fabric via suspected drainage defects or redundant pipe runs. A successful and effective solution to a long standing rat problem in Hammersmith. 

Mice control across multiple flats in Hammersmith, W6 - 7th July 2021

Pestforce Pest Control Hammersmith have begun a block treatment to end a long standing mice problem across 6 Victorian flats in Hammersmith. From speaking with all the residents of the properties it appears the mice infestation has been ongoing for many years so we were keen to end the infestation as soon as possible. A treatment plan was decided upon with the collective approach of all the residents. We uncovered a cross section of holes under kitchen units and pipe work which was clearly being used by the mice to traverse the properties. After a few weeks worth of treatment, the infestation has reduced dramatically and some rodent proofing has already been installed. Further visits due to come but so far the residents are very happy to be living mice free. 

Pigeon control in Hammersmith, W6 - 30th June 2021

Pestforce Pest Control Hammersmith recently concluded a feral pigeon problem for a company taking care of an underground car park for a luxury block of flats in Hammersmith, London. After an initital survey visit a quote was agreed for a humane pigeon cull, clean up of all affected areas and intervention measures to prevent pigeons entering the car park and nesting. The cull was very successful followed by an environmental clean to all areas which been extensively fouled. Once the clean was completed all remaining old nesting materials were also cleared and a combination of pigeon spikes and visual deterants to warn off pigeons were installed. A very happy customer after their car park had gone from being quite an unpleasant environment to a clean and pigeon free zone. 

Rodent control in Hammersmith, W6 - 22nd June 2021

Pestforce Pest Control Hammersmith attended a property in Hammersmith where the owners had started hearing scratching in their roof space. We attended the same day and checked the roof space to find cler evidence of rodent activity under the kitchen units including rodent droppings and visible entry points. We agreed with the client to begin a course of treatment with bait boxes and bait points distributed in the roof space and safely secured under kitchen units in the kitchen. 2 further follow ups are due and we are confident that our treament will be effective. So far the client has heard far fewer sounds in the roof space which is a very positive first step. 

Honey bees in Hammersmith, W6 - 10th June 2021

Pestforce Pest Control Hammersmith were called to a residential home in Hammersmith after the owner reported having wasps flying around her bedroom window. We attended as soon as possible and initially sureyed the pest situation. It became very obvious to our experienced technician that it was in fact honey bees not wasps. We explained this to the client which put her at ease. After explaining all the options of what was possible to her and how we avoid any form of trreatment of bees where possible, it was agreed to leave the nest which will eventually become inactive as the bees move on. Rats in office in Hammersmith, W6 - 20th May 2021

Pestforce Pest Control Hammersmith surveyed an office in Hammersmith for suspected rat activity. The clients had reportly seen rats running around the small courtyward in the middle of the building. During our extenstive rodent survey, our technician found no sign of mice activity within the office however there was signs of rats within the courtyard. The issue appeared to be orginating behind the soil stack water gully where a large void was located. Likely to be the rat entry point. We have placed a non toxic monitoring block into the drainage chamber within the courtyard for confirmation of rat activity. Our recommendations are for some drainage investigations to establish all entry points and put rat interventions in the drain to prevent any ingress into the building structure. 

Mice Control in Hammersmith, W6 - 10th May 2021

Pestforce Pest Control Hammersmith carried out a pest inspection for mice seen in a flat kitchen in Hammersmith. On attendance, our technician found clear evidence of rodent activity under the kitchen units, including rodent droppings, smear marks and visible entry points. The occupants also reported sightings of mice. With these factors taken into account, we have begun a 3 part rodent riddance programme with multiple bait points and traps distributed and secured under kitchen units. Further visits are due and the residents have been informed of rodent proofing that is recommended to be carried out in due course. 

Rodent proofing for residential property in Hammersmith, W6 - 20th April 2021

Pestforce Pest Control Hammersmith carried out an inspection identified potential internal rodent ingress points in various locations around the property whilst the construction work is on-going. Our survey deduced that; holes and gaps noted on the interior perimeter and around pipe work needed to be sealed to prevent pest entry or harbourage. Also Gaps in around wall/floor junctions,around pipes,un-sealed docks and other access points and to be sealed/proofed minimum to deny further potential rodent ingress. High risk areas for pest activity have been indeitified as the Bathrooms,Living Room;Kitchen therefore this proofing work here is essential to exclude pests.

Bird Mites in Hammersmith, W6 - 10th April 2021

Pestforce Pest Control Hammersmith were called to a small flat in Hammersmith. On arrival, the client reported seeing tiny insects in her property and that both she and her husband had been bitten. We were unable to find any during our survey but the client had photographs of the suspect and had caught one and placed it in a small bottle. On further investigation we believed the insect she had caught was a bird mite. The sample was sent to Killgerm for formal identification and indeed was identified as a bird mite. These creatures migrate looking for an alternative food source once a nest is vacated. They can sustain life on alternative foods but reproduction ceases. Migrating mites can enter buildings through vents pipework window gaps chimneys etc and can survive for several months away from a nest site.  We have now treated this flat with insecticidal spray on two separate occasions and with a ULV insecticide once. Now a further treatment is required. On our next visit, we will spray around all light fittings windows air vents and any pipe that breaches the cavity of the building as well as a further insecticidal treatment. 

Rats invading Hammersmith home, W6 - 10th March 2021

Pestforce Pest Control Hammersmith were contacted by a client who been suffering from a rat problem in their semi detached house in Hammersmith. We carried out extensive works including drainage interventions to stop rats getting into the property and internal rodent proofing to prevent rats entering the living area of the house. Despite best efforts, the rat problem unfortunately continued. We have now returned ot the site and carried out further investigations and engaged the neighbouring house who were completely unaware but had rats actively under their property.  We investigated their drainage system and confirmed with CCTV that rats were entering their property structure from their drains.  In working collaboratively with a drainage specialist, we have now installed interventions in the drainage system including a non-return valve (ratflap) and interceptor cap.  This has stopped any further rat ingress into the property structure and in turn has completely resolved the neighbouring properties rat problem aswell.  unfortunatey with rat problems, its not always straight forward and not always isolated to one property, with the problem coming from neighbouring houses requiring more extensive and proactive pest control approaches.
