Mice in the kitchen, CT1, 13th February 2023
Pestforce Canterbury were called to a residential property with suspected rodent activity. Upon a full site inspection, evidence of mice were located under the kitchen units and a 3 visit rodent riddance treatment plan was implemented immediately. On the final visit, proofing work was carried out to a large hole in the kitchen wall that led into the cavity. Outside the property, a rat burrow was also identified and treated. The burrow was back filled with local materials to limit access to non-target species including domestic animals.
Rodent activity disturbing dove enclosure, CT3 - 27th January 2023
Pestforce Canterbury were called to a property where rats were attacking a dove enclosure and had chewed holes through the shed. The burrow was located and a burrow baiting program was implemented. The program has been completed and the rat infestation has been cleared.
Pest control contract set up for local pub in CT4 - 19th December 2022
Pestforce Pest Control Canterbury were called to a pub requiring a pest control contract. An initial visit was made and full site inspection carried out. We recommended a contract for 8 visits a year, as well as emergency call outs to monitor and manage rodent activity. This has now been set up and protects their business from rodents.
Mice infestation in residential property in CT4 - 9th December 2022
Customer called Pestforce Canterbury with reports of mice at the property. We were able to attend promptly and reassure the resident. After a full inspection, evidence of activity included gnawing, smear marks and droppings in the loft space and under the floors on the upper levels. We put in place a 3 visit rodent riddance treatment program and the issue has now been eradicated. The customer was delighted and left a great review.
Mole hills appearing in back garden in Canterbury, CT2 - 6th June 2022
A customer called who had been having an issue with mole hills appearing in his rear garden. I attended the property and located the mole runs using a mole dibber and installed four barrel traps into the runs. On a return visit to the property there were no new mole hills present due to the traps being successful.
Bird spikes and proofing job in Canterbury, CT1 - 1st June 2022
Pestforce Pest Control Canterbury was called out to a property where feral pigeons had taken up residents on a horizontal waste pipe and a extraction fan vent guard above an alley way leading to the rear of the property. All associated bird material was cleared and bird deterrent spike strips have been installed to the affected areas.
Mice invade kitchen in Canterbury, CT1 - 2nd May 2022
Pestforce Pest Control Canterbury received a call where the occupants had a suspicion of mice activity in the kitchen area. I attended the property and carried out a survey which confirmed the owners suspicions. A three visit riddance treatment was implemented and the issue has now been resolved.
Unwelcome mice visit charity café in Canterbury, CT1, 28th April 2022
Pestforce Pest Control Canterbury were called and attended a charity premises with small café in Canterbury. Mice had been spotted in the café area of the property. A full site inspection was carried out, with several entry points identified. We recommended a 3-visit rodent treatment plan to resolve the current infestation, which commenced immediately. On the last of the 3 visits all points of entry were rodent proofed including the fitting of a rodent bristle strip on the front door. This will prevent the ingress of any further troublesome infestations.
One rat helps to discover a large infestation at a property in Canterbury, CT4 - 8th April 2022
Pestforce Pest Control Canterbury were called to support a couple who had reported frequent sightings of a rat in their garden in Canterbury. The couple believed that it had been the same rat, and therefore assumed that it was a single rat living in their garden. We completed an external survey and could not identify any rat burrows present within the grounds of the property; however, we did identify several rat runs. Rat runs are on average 5-10cm wide and are close to walls, banks and hedges, close to cover. Rats memorise these paths and use the same paths to and from shelter. Based on the information we received from the client and the evidence from the survey we suggested that a 3 visit rodent treatment program would be the best solution. The 3 visit rodent treatment program was immediately implemented and bait boxes were placed around the perimeter of the garden. On the second visit it was established that there was indeed more than one rat entering the garden due to the uptake of bait from each of the bait boxes. The bait was replenished. On the third visit there were still signs of activity and we recommended a fourth visit to the client. Occasionally a rodent infestation can be larger than first thought. On the fourth and final visit, we were victorious. There were no signs of activity and we are confident this infestation has been resolved. The couple have since expressed their gratitude and are now looking forward to be able to sit out in their garden without the worry of seeing a rat.
Rats chewing cables in Canterbury, CT1 - March 2022
Pestforce Pest Control Canterbury was called to a facility which had been having trouble with there alarm system due to rats chewing through the cables. The owners wanted the rodent problem solved before renewing any of the damaged cables. On investigation we found heavy rat activity in the false ceiling area as well as in the loft space of the adjoining building, a 3 visit riddance treatment has been implemented and is already showing signs of decreased rodent activity, I am confident that we will have the problem under control in no time at all allowing the owners to get the alarm system reinstated.
Mice in office - Commercial rodent control in Canterbury, CT1 - March 2022
Pestforce Pest Control Canterbury was called to a solicitors firm where the secretary had seen evidence of mice in the office. The initial investigation confirmed mice activity in several areas, a 3 visit riddance treatment was put into place and on our final visit to the property confirmed there were no further signs of rodents and the problem had been eliminated.
Suspected bed bugs in Canterbury, CT2 - March 2022
Pestforce Pest Control Canterbury was called to the property by the occupant as here daughter had been waking up with bite like symptoms on her arms and back. We carried out a full inspection of the child's bedroom checking the mattress and bed frame and any harbourage areas where bed bugs like to hide. We could see no clear evidence of bed bugs on this visit so we decided to place several bed bug monitors at the head and foot of each side of the bed and around the bedroom. A return visit has been scheduled to check the monitors for any activity.
More mole cacthing in Chilham, Canterbury, CT4 - February 2022
Pestforce Pest Control Canterbury was called to the property where mole hills were present in the front garden. We located the mole tunnels using a mole dibber and placed traps into the runs. A follow up visit was booked for a week later. Upon return there were no additional mole hills present, all traps were checked with one revealing a successful capture. All existing mole hills were cleared from the front garden. The job is complete and the customer seemed very happy and a review card was left.
Mole catcher in Wingham, Canterbury, CT3 - February 2022
Pestforce Pest Control Canterbury were called out by a lady after her back garden had been invaded by moles with 15+ mole hills found. We attended first thing the next day and set about putting in a mole catching plan in place. The property had a problem in moles in the past however this latest issue seems to be a result of a neighbour doing work in his garden and therefore disrupted the moles. We found the main mole tunnels and have placed mole traps in the garden to await the results. We are confident we will have the garden back to being mole free.
