Ant Treatment: 2nd floor flat in Brockley, London, SE4 – 10th July 2023

Pestforce Pest Control Lewisham were called to a second floor flat in Brockley by a landlord whose tenants had reported an ant infestation. After a thorough inspection our technician Bob noted that the ants seemed to be coming upstairs from the garden of the bottom floor flat, through an air vent and up the main internal waste pipe of the flats. We were able to safely treat the area around the waste pipe leading in to our customer’s flat, ensuring a barrier against any further wandering ants. We checked in with our customer the following week and so far not a single ant has been seen !

Pigeons roosting above bay window: Blackheath, London SE3 – 12th July2023

Pestforce Pest Control Lewisham were contacted by a customer who had found two pigeons preparing to roost in the eave above her font room bay window.She was desperate to get the problem resolved before the pigeons were fully able to nest. We arrived within two hours and once the pigeons had flown out of the eave we were able to inspect the area and were relieved to find no evidence of nesting. We were then easily able to dissuade the birds from roosting any further by adding wire mesh across the open entrance of the eave. Our customer was incredibly grateful we had arrived so quickly and been able to stop any further activity.

Wasp infestation: Catford, London, SE6 – 10th June 2023

When a customer who was renovating his property, he discovered wasps coming in and out of the eaves of his roof. He rang Pestforce Pest Control Lewisham and we arrived promptly and looked for a solution. After inspecting the environment our technician noted that the next door neighbour had a pond full of fish, which posed a risk. After speaking with the neighbour and placing a temporary cover over the pond, we were able to treat the wasp infestation quickly – with no risk to the neighbour’s fish. Ant Infestation: Catford, London, SE6 – 25th May 2023

A distressed customer rang Pestforce Pest Control Lewisham, when she started to find a large amount of flying ants infesting her kitchen. Our technician arrived and inspected the property internally and externally. After a second visit, our technician recognised that just outside the property was a wild sapling oak tree that had become the spawning spot for several colonies of flying ants. Once spawned the ants were then flying directly into the customer’s property from nearby air vents. Our technician was able to remove the wild sapling and our customer breathed a sigh of relief, giving a superb review on our website.

Rat treatment: Abbey Wood, London, SE2 – 14th May 2023

When his mother was confronted by a large rat in the middle of her hallway during the night, the owner of the property contacted Pestforce Lewisham. We were able to visit within the hour and inspected the property, finding several possible access points in the property where the rat could have accessed from the foundations of the building. The customer was keen that his mother wouldn’t have to experience seeing the rat again, so we meshed up all access points, but still left bait and traps safely around the property. The customer’s mother now has our number should any further activity occur; she knows who to call and we will return for the second visit of three to monitor for any further activity in a week’s time.

Wasps or bees? Grove Park, London SE12 – 2nd May 2023

While working from home one day, a worried customer called Pestforce Pest Control when she realised an infestation of wasps (or possibly bees) had accessed her property and were coming though directly into all areas of the house. We attended immediately; however, by the time we arrived all activity had stopped and there was no sign of any bees or wasps. Our technician Bob was able to inspect the property and found an old waste pipe hole that allowed access directly into the property. Given that the activity had ceased, we believe the issue was mostly down to bees so we advised the customer to seal the disused pipe hole to deter any future infestation. Our customer was relived they could get back to work and was extremely happy with our service.

Mouse riddance and proofing treatment in Catford, London SE6 – 22nd March 2023

A frustrated customer called Pestforce Pest Control Lewisham after struggling to control a mouse infestation for some month in his mother’s house. Our technician Bob attended the property that day. On arriving at the property he immediately noticed that the air vent at the front of the property had been damaged, creating a clear opportunity for mouse access into the property. Inside the house we also found evidence of recent droppings under the kitchen kickboards and a small hole behind the fridge. We put in a three-visit riddance treatment using poison bait and proofing and by the second visit the droppings had ceased. On our third visit we used mesh and steel wool to proof the ingress points identified on our inspection. Old wasps nest? Blackheath, London SE6 – 12th March 2023

When a property survey reported several wasp nests in the roof of their new property a couple from Blackheath got in touch with Pestforce Pest Control Lewisham. Our technician arrived the same day and after inspecting the roof internally from the loft we found four wasp nests – three defunct nests and one small live nest in the process of being built by new wasps. We safely removed all the nests after briefly treating the live nest. Our customer was very happy they could now continue to enjoy their new house and left a very kind review.

Rat infestation controlled at a property in Catford, London, SE6 – 27th November 2022

When rats chewed through a temporarily sealed drain cover in a utility room in Catford, a concerned couple knew to call  Pestforce Pest Control Lewisham for help, having used our services for a previous job. We arrived promptly at the property where the customers explained they had seen three rats on top of the washing machine. Our technician recommended a three visit riddance treatment using traps and bait as well the drain be secured permanently. We set the traps on the first visit and were called that evening by the customers notifying us that had been further activity.  The technician arrived the next morning and found three rats caught in his traps. After removing the rat carcasses from the premises technician has reset all the snap traps and bait and our relieved customer knows they can contact us if there is further activity before our next visit.

Effective proofing treatment to deal with rats accessing property in Deptford, London SE8 – 14th November 2022

Pestforce Pest Control Lewisham were called out to a property in Deptford SE8 where tenants had been hearing scurrying activity under the kitchen kickboards. The technician arrived and found several deceased rats under the kickboards. After further investigation of the property and environment the technician discovered that rats had found a pathway through the external decking from the neighbouring empty property. We were able to use wire mesh to create a fence below the decking that will prevent any further access.

Successful wasp nest treatment in eaves of roof near Lee Park, London SE3 – 22nd October 2022

Pestforce Pest Control Lewisham received a call from a home owner in Lee Park who had become concerned about a wasp infestation at the very top of the eaves in his of roof. The technician was able to gain access and carry out an intensive insecticide spray of the infestation entry point. Scratching noises coming from ceiling in Catford, London SE6 – 15th October 2022

Pestforce Pest Control Lewisham were called to a house in Catford where loud scuttling noises in the ceiling had been causing concern for the home owners. Our technician arrived and inspected the property, looking for access points into the property, although property appeared to be secure. On the second visit our technician noted that the external vent for a tumble dryer had moved slightly and on further investigation discovered that the internal connecting seals had been chewed through, allowing access into the customer’s home. This was easily resolved by placing wire mesh around the air vent.

Living with a new baby and mice in Lewisham - 23rd September 2022

After returning from hospital with a new baby - an anxious couple who found some droppings on their kitchen worktop and immediately rang us. Pestforce Pest Control Lewisham arrived and inspected the property. Technician found a small hole that appeared to be an access point. Rat infestation in flat near Lewisham - 17th September 2022

Rat infestation in neighbouring gardens near Lewisham - 7th September 2022

Pestforce Lewisham were called to a property in where a couple had seen rats running behind their garden shed. Our technician arrived and after inspection recommended that the couple contact neighbour as it appeared rats were coming from next door property. The neighbour was also keen to get rid of the rats so also requested our services. After a 3 week treatment was implemented  using non toxic baits and traps - both properties were rat free. Our technician recommended that harbourage behind sheds was cleared and echnician added in a follow-up visit for both properties in two weeks to ensure there were no further signs of infestation. Both households were very pleased that their gardens were now free from infestation.

Rat stuck in drain in Lewisham - 31st August 2022

A local couple in Lewisham called Pestforce when they found a rate stuck in drain outside their back door. Our Pestforce technician arrived on scene with the intention of removing the rat and dispatching, however the rat in was seemingly not trapped and headed back down the drain pipe. Technician placed bait suspended over drain and left for two days before returning to monitor and found bait was still intact. Customer was pleased to be able to be reassured that rat had not returned. 

Wasps threaten to ruin Children’s Party in Westcombe Hill, SE3 - 25th August 2022

Pestforce were called to a property near Blackheath where an angry wasp nest was infesting the external roof fascia and threatening to ruin a children birthday party being held that weekend. On arrival, we inspected the property and impacted environment before carrying out a wasp treatment using lance and powder to eradicate the activity. The customer was pleased that we attended quickly so the plans for the children’s party could go ahead.

Wasp Control in Lewisham SE6 – 13th July 2022

Pestforce were called to a property in Lewisham where a customer had a problem with a wasp nest invading an air brick near her kitchen window, stopping her from being able to open her kitchen window during the recent heatwave. After checking the local environment the technician quickly and safely carried out a treatment for wasps and removed the problem. The customer was extremely pleased with our efforts and relieved they could now open the window and cool down in the heat.

Honeybees in Brockley, SE4 – 4th July 2022

A Brockley homeowner contacted Pestforce when she heard buzzing coming from the foliage at the top of her garden wall. Although the customer had originally contacted us for what she thought was a wasp issue, we were quickly able to inspect and found that the buzzing was coming from honeybees pollinating the foliage at the top of the wall. We were able to access the top of the wall and remove the foliage, thus allowing the honeybees to move on safely; the customer was able to relax in her garden once again.

Rats in Basement in Greenwich, SE3 - 22nd June 2022

A vigilant homeowner contacted  Pestforce after finding rodent droppings in their basement cellar and storage area. We arrived at the property and quickly established a family on rats had taken refuge behind the insulation layer in the basement. Our technician carried out a thorough survey of the basement before implementing a trapping and baiting programme. With this in place we will monitor activity and look to find the exact location of nest.

Lewisham Pigeon Control, SE6 - 5th June 2022

Pestforce Pest Control Lewisham were called out by a lady in Catford whose dog had found and Injured pigeon in the back garden. The customer was unable to find the pigeon when we arrived. Our technician suggested ‘letting the dog out’ to find it and sure enough Leo the Wiesler ran straight past our pest controller to where the pigeon was .The pigeon was removed from the property and dispatched. Customer was pleased to have solved the issue and Leo of course got a treat for his help in finding the pigeon.

Rodent control for infestation in property in Herne Hill, SE4 - 30th May 2022

A diligent landlord of a property in Herne Hill did the right thing by calling Pestforce when his tenants mention they had a seen a rat running down their landing towards the kitchen. We attended and quickly found evidence of rat droppings under the kitchen kickboards - We were also able to find the rats access point in our first visit. Due to limited space under kickboards we were unable to use traps and therefore started a grain bait treatment - until we can be sure the rodent is dead , when we will look to proof the access hole. Landlord and tenant were reassured to know the issue was being quickly resolved and that we were close by in the event of any new sightings.

Rat Control in Brockley, SE4 - 26th May 2022

We have been working with a customer in SE4 who had contacted us about an external rat issue in his garden. After the first visit we were frustrated that the rats weren’t taking our bait (rats are ‘neophobic’, meaning they don’t like new things). Then the customer mentioned his flatmate had left some birdseed on a table recently and then seen a rat eating it. This meant we changed our tactic and have now added a Rat Eyre systems to the garden, allowing us and the customer to monitor the issue while also controlling the rat from the garden.

Wasp Nest Removal in Shed in Blackheath, SE3 - 20th May 2022

A lady in SE3 acted quickly when she noticed wasps starting to swarm into her garden shed. She contacted Pestforce Lewisham. We were able to arrive promptly at the property in Blackheath and safely inspect the shed area. We found the wasp had started to build on one of the shelves that had been hidden under some old carpet. We were able to safely clear the shed space and destroy the nest, ensuring the customer was able to reclaim her shed and have a pest-free summer.
