Mice in home in Fulham, SW6 - January 2022

Pestforce Pest Control Fulham received a text in the afternoon the other day from a local student in Fulham who had a mouse problem in their detached home. We gave the client some simple advice and booked them in for a pest survey visit of their home for our next available diary slot. We discovered obvious evidence of mouse activity with new mouse droppings found in the loft area. To provide a solution to the infestation we formulated a bespoke 3 visit riddance programme making use of poison mouse baits and mouse traps. We have since completed our treatment and the mice have been effectively eradicated. The client was grateful for the fast and effective treatment of our Fulham mouse control services.

Fly control in Fulham, SW6, August 2021

Pestforce Pest Control Fulham treated a fly infestation at a property in Fulham this week. During our inspection visit we found flies larvae and pupae on a small enclosed balcony area of a basement living space. We were able to identify the flies as green bottle flies. Once found we treated the area with an insecticidal spray including the door sills and walls of raise plant beds. This treatment was effective and flies are no more. Mice problem in Fulham, SW6, July 2021

Pestforce Pest Control Fulham were called to a property by a estate management company we do regualar work for. This property was having a problem with mice in the downstairs living area. On our visit we carried out a pest inspection and found mice dropppings around the dishwaher and a recently chewed water pipe. We need to take action quickly and placed multiple bait traps and tracking dust for mice under the kitchen units. We let the resident know that treatment had been placed and a follow up is due. Once we left the property we ensured the estate management company recieved a digital copy of our pest control treatment report.

Pest Control Contract for Flat Complex in Fulham, SW6, July 2021

Pestforce Pest Control Fulham recently agreed a pest control service contract for a block of flats in Fulham. After a month worth of pest inspections, our team have noticed an issue with mice in the communal bin store. To rectify this rodent issue we have looked at non lethal and environmentally friendly methods. In this instance we have put in place some rodent proofing measures in place to prevent the mice entering the bin store in the first place. Specifically, we have installed a brush strip under the door and sealed the small gaps in and around the bin store. Following a more recent inspection we have seen no further pest activity within the bin store. A great success and some lessons learnt. 

Bedbug Spray Treatment in Fulham, SW6, July 2021

Pestforce Pest Control Fulham were called by a landlord to a flat in Fulham where the residents were suffering with bedbugs. Our pest inspection found evidence of bedbugs across 2 bedrooms in the flat. All belongings were removed from the room and an insecticidal spray concentrating on wall/floor junctions was carried out. The residents were told not to enter the rooms for 3 hours while the treatment took affect. A call a week later from the landlord confirmed the tennats were no longer getting bitten and the bedbugs had been erradicated. Another happy client and pest free home in Fulham. 

Mice Invade Home After Sightings Reported by Tenants, SW6, June 2021

Pestforce Pest Control Fulham are incredibly well versed with all manner of rodent problems. On this occassion, like so many that we are called out to, tenants had started to see mice activity in their kitchen area of their property in Fulham. Our technician was able to attend the next day and determine the source of the infestation and a suitable treatment programme. These almost always consist of 3-4 visits. After surveying under the kitchen units and behind the kickboards, further mice activity was apparent and we set about our work. Pestforce Pest Control Fulham went to inspect a property in the centre of Fulham after reported issue with mice. On inspection, evidence of rodent activity under kitchen units, including rodent droppings, smear marks and visible entry points. To treat the infestation, bait was distributed in locked mouse boxes and traps distributed and secured under kitchen units. To date, our treatment has been very successfully and the client has been very impressed with our detailed digital reports after each visit alongside before and after photos. Rat flap installations in Fulham, SW6, June 2021

Pestforce Pest Control Fulham were contacted by 3 homeowners in the Fulham area after they were having a long term issue with rats across their properties. The homes which are all partially connected previously had other pest control companies attend to treat the issue which was said to be finally ressolved through a rat flap. This was not the case. Our team attended and following a drain survey we identified that the rat flap that had been installed wsa located in the wrong area. We relocated the valve at no charge after our team uncovered the costs charged by the other providers. Large scale commercial pest control contract in London, W6, Fulham, May 2021

Pestforce Pest Control Fulham were recommended to a facilities manager for a large luxury block of apartments. In total, this site includes 850 luxury flats in a well known area near Fulham.  They already had a pest control service provider, but did not feel the service was being delivered to the required standards.  Our team carried out a detailed pest survey of the site to understand the requirements of the client and the likely pest problem areas.  We have now submitted a pest control service proposal which we are hoping will be approved.  We have started to offer this form of service proposal to many of our new and old clients as we genuinely feel that our client base should stay with us as a contractor because they are consistently happy with our service, not because they have to. Essentially, the pest control service agreement renews every 90 days automatically if the client wishes to carry onto the next period.  However the client is free to terminate the agreement at the end of each quarterly period - we're pleased to say this has never happened yet. 

Fulham Mice Control Solves Infestation with Innovative Rodent Proofing Measures - W14, Fulham, May 2021

Pestforce Pest Control Fulham were called to a property with a major mice problem in their kitchen area. Several other pest control companies had attempted to treat the infestatoin to no avail. We advised the client that they had lots of holes behind the kitchen units which needed to be sealed. The lady sent us images and video of the affected area by WhatsApp to allow us to confirm if we can seal the holes and provide an estimate for the costs of work. These holes would normally be impossible to access without removal of part of her kitchen however as a simple solution our team was able to install an inspection panel in the rear of the kitchen unit to allow access behind to all the holes. This made the job more cost effective and less invasive for the customer. All holes have now been sealed using rodent proof material such as steel weld mesh and expanding foam.

Fulham Bird Control in Porch Roof - SW6, Fulham, May 2021

Pestforce Pest Control Fulham were recently called to a house that had just been purchased by our customer who had noticed he had birds living in his porch roof. As Fulham pest control professionals, we are aware that all birds are protected. However some birds are listed under general license, which means they can be humanely managed due to the risk they pose to public health and safety, to prevent serious damage or for conservation purposes. Our Fulham bird control team surveyed the roof, and whilst we couldn't confirm the exact species of bird, we knew they were not a bird we could deal with under general license, therefore we have advised the client that the nest and bird should be left undisturbed until a time they have fled the nest, at which point the nest can be removed and the entry hole sealed. Our Fulham bird controllers have also advised the client that they should install a bird nesting box adjacent to the current nesting site to provide a new habitat when the birds return next year.

Fulham Moth Control Treat Indian Meal Moths - SW6, Fulham, April 2021

Our Fulham pest control team were recently called out to an elderly gents kitchen. He kept seeing moths active around the kitchen, windows and in some cupboards. Our Fulham moth control experts carried out a very detailed survey to confirm the species of insect so we could apply the correct treatment and confirmed the moths to be Indian meal moths. Alison, our Fulham insect control specialist, was able to identify them. She is passionate about the thousands of species of insects and is uniquely qualified to treat this case. She identified the source of problem as food storage cupboards where moths had laid eggs in the customers stored foods (dried food products). Our Fulham moth control team simply removed all these contaminated items and disposed of them, followed by a thorough clean of all his cupboards to remove any of the insects lifecycle (include eggs and larvae and adults). These actions in itself will almost completely resolve the moth control issues. However, to get a more instant result we carried out a light insecticide treatment in and around the kitchen area to knock down the currently active moths. As with any insect problem, the key is always to find out what the insect is and where it's come from. This will always lead to the appropriate end result.

Fulham Rat Control Find Rodents Big Enough To Make A Grown Man Feint! - SW6, Fulham, April 2021

Our Fulham pest control team recently completed a 2nd visit to a property in Fulham where the customer thought they had a mice infestation. Our Fulham rodent control team immediately noted from odour alone, it wasn't mice but it was indeed rats. On our previous visit, we installed several traps under the kitchen unit. On this second visit, we actually caught the biggest rat we've ever seen! The two electricians that were working in the property saw us remove the rat and were so shocked one of them thought he was going to feint! We have now resolved the rat problem by installing a one-way valve to prevent rats travelling from the sewers into the house. We are confident this house won't get rats again.

Fulham Mice Catchers Proofed Property To Stop Entry - SW6, Fulham, March 2021

Our Fulham mice control team recently attended to a property where mice had been entering via a missing brick (which has now been cemented) and the hole around the pipe leading into the building. Our Fulham mice control team did some treatments internally to treat the offending mice. For a long term mice control solution, we cemented the missing brick around the door threshold and around the pipe passing through the brickwork into the utility room. As part of our Fulham pest control service, we do more than treatment, such as the above remedial works as part of our specialised approach to pest control.

Fulham Mice Control for Organic Health Foods Warehouse - SW6, Fulham, March 2021

Pestforce Pest Control Fulham attended to an organic health food product warehouse who had requested a 2nd opinion from us after ongoing mouse problems on the site. This site is accredited by the Soil Association, and therefore has strict requirements in terms of what can be done with regards to pest control. Our Fulham pest control team carried out a comprehensive survey of the building and identified clear entry points where mice had been gaining entry and damaging the clients product. To resolve the problem with a long term solution, our Fulham pest controllers found that mice had been entering the building via the weepholes in the brickwork. Treatment was carried out including intensive trapping as we were unable to use rodenticide at the organic site. Our Fulham pest control team also installed weephole vent fittings to stop further entry to the building. The client was so pleased with our solutions, they have now employed us as their ongoing pest control provider.

Pigeon Control in Fulham - October 2020

We did a lovely job on Wednesday this week. Feral pigeons had been frequenting the rear of a student property in Fulham SW6. They were routinely roosting on the side of the property at the back on the many runs of pipework, window ledges and the guttering above. Unfortunately this had gone on for some time before being reported leading to a horrific mess below. We attended and did a thorough environmental clean using specialist biocides to neutralise the pigeon guano followed by cleaning using jetting Equipment. We then installed a combination of spiking and Bird Free gels to prevent the pigeons from roosting on these ledges and edges. The client was over the moon with the results. I gave the tenants a courtesy call today and they advised they hadn’t seen a pigeon in the side entry since the work was done!

House Flies in Fulham - July 2020

We attended for a routine pest control service visit at a large block of flats we look after in Fulham this week.  The site managing agent had complaints from residents about mouse droppings in the internal communal bin stores.  We investigated the bin areas and could not see evidence of mice including no bait taken from any of the rodent control boxes or droppings. However we found plentiful evidence of house fly pupa which can easily be mistaken for droppings by the untrained eye. The house fly (Musca domestica) is one of the most common flying insects around.  Unfortunately they thrive in filth including rubbish, faeces and generally dirty environments.  They can spread bacteria and virus pathogens by contaminating clean water sources and food.  Their life cycle starts as an egg before progressing to a larvae (maggot) and then pupa eventually emerging as an adult fly. In summary, the bin stores were being badly managed with plentiful food sources to support the life cycle of the house flies.  We simply advised the managing agents more bins were required to remove the food sources and to encourage the residents to manage their food waste more responsibly.  We did a light residual spray treatment to reduce the fly population after physically removing the fly pupa.  This will hopefully stop the problem.
