Broken air vents allow rodents easy access into a home in Dagenham, RM10, 8th September 2022
Pestforce Pest Control Dagenham received a call from a troubled mother, she had spotted mice in the kitchen of her home in Dagenham. Our team arrived at the agreed time and carried out an initial survey of the home. Multiple points of entry for the rodents were identified, mouse droppings were also discovered under the kitchen units and under the stairs. We continued with the survey and went into the loft where rat droppings were also uncovered. Our team discussed a rodent treatment program with the mother and began immediately. We returned one week later to monitor the progress of the rodent treatment program, on this occasion there was no evidence to suggest any rodent activity had taken place, there was no bait taken, and nothing in the traps. Our team decided to try an alternative bait and include the use of a tracking material to further investigate this ongoing problem. One week later we once again arrived at this home and instantly started to inspect our rodent baits and rodent tracking materials, which had been completely undisturbed. We could find no evidence of rodent activity in any of the suspected areas, Loft, under the stairs, bathroom, or kitchen. We supplied and fitted rodent proof grills to the air vents which will offer future protection from rodents using the identified points of entry. We removed all bait and traps from this home. Our team are confident there will be no further activity of rodents.

Unpleasant odour in a home causes distress in Dagenham, RM8, 7th June 2022
Pestforce Pest Control Dagenham received a call from a distressed occupant in Dagenham who was concerned about an overwhelming, unpleasant smell believed to be coming from the drains. Our team arrived at the property and conducted a survey. There was a definite stench throughout the property, evidence of rat droppings were discovered in addition to a carcass in the toilet area and under the shower. We concluded the point of entry to be a gully allowing the rats access to the property. We recommended our rodent treatment program alongside the installation of a cast iron gully cover to offer prevention going forward. We would also need to clean and sanitise the area and include a deodoriser to help with the smell. This treatment has now commenced, and we are confident that we will have excellent results on our next visit.
Missing roof tiles allow pigeons to settle in the loft space of a home in Dagenham, RM9, 31st May 2022
Pestforce Pest Control Dagenham were called and attended a property in Dagenham where pigeons were settling in the loft space. Our team arrived and conducted a full survey. We discovered large holes in the roof, missing tiles, and ten pigeons in the loft space. We removed the pigeons and set to work repairing the part of the roof that the pigeons used to enter the loft space. In addition to this we then used a bird proofing mesh to prevent further entry. Follow up - Mice cause damage to a home in Dagenham, RM7, May 2022
Pestforce Pest Control Dagenham have completed visit number two, at a home in Dagenham. Our client opted for our highly successful rodent treatment plan to combat mice in their loft. During our first visit we discovered the mice had been busy shredding the insulation and making large holes in the dividing walls and air vents in the loft space. Visit number two we were able to rodent proof the holes and point of entry. The bait stations had been eaten and these have been replaced. Our proven methods continue to be successful, and we have good evidence at this property that our rodent treatment plan is making good progress. We look forward to next visit in a weeks’ time, as we monitor this infestation.
Mice cause damage to a home in Dagenham, RM7 - May 2022
Pestforce Pest Control Dagenham were called out to a home in Dagenham where mice were causing a stir within the property. On arrival we carried out both an interior and exterior survey, this enabled us to identify evidence of an active infestation of mice. Mouse droppings were discovered in the cupboard under the stairs where food was being stored. There was further evidence in the loft where we detected shredding of insulation, which mice use as nesting materials, as well as large holes in the dividing walls and in the air vents. We discussed a 3-visit rodent treatment plan and initiated this straight way. The next visit will also include rodent proofing and we will repair some of the damage caused by the mice. Although this is an ongoing treatment, we are hopeful that once again our proven methods will do the trick, and this home will be rodent free in the foreseeable future.
Rats causing havoc in Dagenham garden - April 2022
Pestforce Pest Control Dagenham attended a client's property in Dagenham that was suffering from a terrible rodent problem in the garden area. The rats had been seen in mass throughout the garden and digging under the garden shed. We have set out an extensive trapping programme to control the rat problem. This will take place over a course of a couple of weeks. Our inspection led us to believe the rat infestation had arisen from a nearby drainage system. We have since dug around the inspection chamber and laid sand and cement to cover any potential rat burrows.

Pestforce Pest Control Dagenham were called out to help a commercial premises with a suspected mice infestation in their property in Dagenham. We carried out an initial rodent survey the day after their call. Our inspection of all areas of the property highlighted to us obvious signs of a rodent activity. We found lots of droppings in the kitchen and storage areas. There was also many rodent entry points due to the infastructure of the building. We have since carried out 4 visit mouse riddance program to reduce the current mouse population. We have also put in place a service contract to keep on top of mice and insects in the building.. Rat trapped in bedroom in Dagenham - January 2022
Customer called Pestforce Pest Control Dagenham this morning in real distress. She explained to that there was a rat trapped in her young child’s bedroom that actually woke him up the previous night. We advised that we would treat this as an emergency job and would prioritise the job for her. We arrived within one hour of the call being taken and proceeded to hunt for the uninvited visitor. Squirrels in loft space in Dagenham - January 2022
Pestforce Pest Control Dagenham was called out over the Christmas break by a distressed customer saying that they are hearing very loud noises in the loft and that there upstairs lighting no longer works. Upon inspection we quickly identified squirrels had been entering the roof space by large holes in the soffit boards. Closer inspection we could see electrical lighting cables badly damaged by squirrels along with structural roof rafters. We explained to the customer how squirrels were entering the roof space and pointed out the damage caused. I then explained how we were going to treat the pest problem and set out x 4 fenn traps which we secured to the timbers. I also advised that when we return to inspect and if we had managed to trap the squirrels I would arrange for my roofer to attend to repair the three access points to the facias to prevent further squirrels. We returned 10 days later to find both squirrels caught cleanly in the traps, I then called for the roofer to attend who arrived 30 mins later and repaired all the access holes with zinc flashing . A very happy customer. We also recommend a qualified electrician to come and rewire the damaged electrical wires . A1 service carried out for our customers all the time.
Dagenham Rat Control for Repeated Rat Infestation - December 2021
Customer called me last week to advise she had an unwanted visitor coming into her property. She advised that she has had pest control at her property before and that the problem goes away for a while then she has the same problem again months later or when the weather gets colder. After an intense survey I was able to locate the reasoning behind this continued Rat invasion. There was a garden slab leaning up against the house wall. When i removed the slab, it was clear that rats had been going behind the slab and digging down, upon closer inspection i could see that a plastic air brick had been bitten into leaving a perfect hole for rats to get in under the property and into the customer's house. When i questioned the customer and asked had the previous pest tec seen this, she said yes but just put poison in the hole !! hence the ongoing issue. I explained the process to how PestForce deal with such issues like this and how we will we will eradicate the Rat problem once and for all. IPM will be surly implemented in this project.
Commercial rodent contract for equestrian centre - December 2021
Pestforce Pest Control Dagenham have recently been awarded a new contract at a equestrian show jumping centre. This type of work requires a more rural type of pest control and a large scale rat riddance program. Upon first inspection and survey it became clear that rats had started to burrow into the indoor arena and causing damage to wooden sides and constant holes being dug in the soft substrate. This was becoming dangerous for the horses and riders as the horse could fall down one of these holes braking its leg and several injuring the rider. A circa 40 baiting stations have been set up around the stadium with a safer rodent bait for rural works as the secondary poisoning is dramatically reduced to birds of prey, yard cats etc which all have to be taking into account under CRRU (campaign for responsibly rodenticide use). Once we have the numbers reduced we will then switch to non toxic to monitor and manage going forward.
Squirrel control in Dagenham - December 2021
Pestforce Pest Control Dagenham recieved a call from a customer to say they could hear noises in the loft and asked if I could come and inspect. We was able attend the very next day as the customer was rather stressed. When arrived I took a look around the property and surrounding area and noticed a lot of squirrel activity running around the trees and gardens. Went into the loft with no lights on to see if I could see any daylight. Straight away I could see two big holes in the corner of the eves. Also lots of droppings and damaged timber rafters. As I approached the holes I could see two squirrels in the soffit box. I decided I could repair the two areas with wire mesh and timber cut and scribed into the pitch of the roof. This approach looks at integrated pest management and by far the best approach for squirrel control into buildings.
Mice control for home in Dagenham - November 2021
Pestforce Pest Control Dagenham recieved a call from a home owner suffering from a serious mice infestation in Dagenham. Our initial survey visit releaved obvious signs of mice activity with droppings found behind the kitchen kickboards. In addition we found holes where the mice had entered the property from. We have devised a tretment plan to get on top of the infestation through the use of rodenticides and traps. Once the infestation is erradicated we have informed the client we will finish our service by installing a series of mouse proofing measures with the installation of mouse mesh screens to air bricks, repairs to floor boards and walls just trying to eliminate any future access.
Pigeon control in Dagenham - November 2021
Pestforce Pest Control Dagenham recieved a call from new customer explaining they had some pigeons trapped in their loft. We responded within three hours, assessing the situation it was clear that the problem was a lot worse than just a few pigeons trapped in the loft. On closer inspection it revealed that there was circa 60 pigeons found in the customer's roof space. And nearly a foot of pigeon guano covered the entire roof space. We put on our PPE, full face respiratory equipment and carried out a full on-site risk assessment. Since our inspection we have safely removed the pigeons and repair the roof to prevent further ingress occurring. In addition, the customer also opted to have clean up service with a biocide spray/fogging treatment. A very happy customer and a job well done be the team.
Rat control for home in Dagenham - October 2021
Pestforce Pest Control Dagenham recieved a call from a new customer explaining she had an unwanted visitor entering her kitchen knocking over jars, helping its self to her bowl of fruit and defecating on her worktops. Firstly the droppings that were being left behind were not like a rats, but after working out it was consuming lots of fruit, which I could see by the teeth marks in a pear it became clear it was a rat. No signs anywhere else so I had to work out how it was getting in the house and traversing across the kitchen. Upon closer inspection I could see it was getting under the house and climbing up the wall cavity into the the ceiling across and down behind the boiler. Poison and traps set, on my second visit customer advises no more signs of mr ratus ratus, and a relieved customer. I put out some nontoxic bait, and checked again the week after. No more evidence. Advised customer to carry out some proofing works to avoid and more unwanted intruders.
